Exciting Opportunity: Seeking for Cyber Project Support Officer

• Estimated Start Date: Monday, July 1, 2024
• Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months
• Extension Term: 12 Months (up to 2 extensions)
• Location of Work: ACT (Canberra-based)
• Working Arrangements: Flexibility for 1 to 2 days of remote work per week.
• Security Clearance: Must have Baseline

Key Requirements:

• Experience in procurement activities, including contract management.
• Good understanding of DevOps to track program-related work.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across departments to drive change.
• Familiarity with the Essential Eight cyber security framework.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Contributing to the Essential Eight maturity uplift project, aiming to elevate the department’s maturity to Level 2 by 2025.
• Assisting in conducting a discovery exercise for the Application Risk Profile as part of the Cyber Risk Transformation project.
• Collaborating with system owners to understand roles and responsibilities and conducting awareness sessions.
• Undertaking ad hoc project-related tasks such as procurement, project governance, and reporting.

Criteria:

• 5 years’ experience in IT project management or project support within a government agency.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with IT areas and large audiences.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and issue resolution skills.
• Previous experience in cyber projects is essential.
